Pekanbaru, February 12, 2025 – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) University of Riau held a socialization of the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa) in 2025. The activity, which took place on the 2nd floor of the Dean's Building, was led by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation Dr. Saiman Pakpahan, S.IP., M.Si, the Person in Charge of PPK Ormawa FISIP, Robi Armilus, S.Sos., M.Si., as well as two PPK Ormawa teams receiving national funding and Abdi Daya 2024. Also present were the supervisors, Rury Febrina, S.IP., M.Si., and Frini Karina Andini, S.AB., M.AB.
In his remarks, Dr. Saiman Pakpahan, S.IP., M.Si emphasized that PPK Ormawa is a strategic step to strengthen the capacity of student organizations to be more professional and innovative. He hopes that this program can be optimally utilized by students to improve their leadership, managerial skills, and contributions to society.
The Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., who was met on a different occasion, emphasized that strengthening the capacity of student organizations is part of efforts to build a resilient, innovative, and highly competitive generation. "PPK Ormawa is not only about organizational development, but also about shaping the character of students as future leaders who are able to contribute to society," he said. The Dean hopes that FISIP UNRI students can make the best use of this program to hone their leadership and social skills.
Meanwhile, Robi Armilus, S.Sos., M.Si., stated the importance of this socialization in providing an in-depth understanding of the mechanism and benefits of the program. He hopes that FISIP UNRI students will be more motivated to actively participate and continue to innovate in the management of their organization.
With this socialization, FISIP UNRI students are expected to be better prepared in developing student organizations that have a wide impact, both in the campus environment and in the community. -HUMAS FISIP-
